Dr. Realz has really turned things around with this new line-up after dropping Serennia. His first trip to Germany will quickly be forgotten and replaced with memories of this one. No more staying in strange German houses Mr. Masterson, you’re treated like WoW royalty now.

Many are already calling SK-Gaming ‘Team America’. I think that’s a fitting title. We’ll have Dr. Realz on a special “After Thoughts: Regionals” show sometime this week along with some of the other big names from this weekend. Look for an updated post on Monday or Tuesday.

We’re going to be recording (yes, recording, again) this Saturday around 6 CST. We’re recording again because my laptop battery died and because Dell is such a piece of shit I can’t go buy a 130w battery here in town and have to order one… I digress. We’ll start doing live shows again whenever I get the battery (probably the next week).

So, Kintt, Igoaf, Serennia, and possibly some other WoW players (I might join in, we’ll see) on Arenacast this week. Expect show to be up around 7:30 p.m. CST or 8. Till then, have fun slaying dragons.

Don’t be alarmed, the podcast isn’t up yet (and won’t be up till about 10ish Wednesday night). I just wanted to inform everyone that usually listens to the show live that this week we’re going to try going back to recording the show, kicking it old school. This will allow for more edits, more segments (without downtime) and technical errors should be lowered a lot as well.

We’re going to try to improve the show a lot in the upcoming weeks so just be prepared for some cool, new segments, as well as some awful segments which we will never go back to ever again. I’m not going to spoil much for tomorrow’s episode however so you’ll just have to wait for it tomorrow night.

This Saturday we’re going to be doing a live show (which will be recorded and posted afterward). So what is the point of doing a Saturday show? Well, we’re going to try two shows a week.

DJ “Celex” Roggenkamp will be releasing his video on Saturday night but it won’t be available for day or two on Warcraft Movies. We’re going to be using Ustream.tv to play the video live (OMG VIDEO ON ARENACAST WAT?) so as you listen, you’ll be watching the movie in full. During this time we’ll discuss the movie fight by fight and talk with Celex himself. It isn’t going to be very planned or anything so who knows what will happen.

If viewer response is good and you guys like the show then we’ll try to keep doing it (as long as people are willing to release movies with us). So we’ll see you guys 6 p.m. CST Saturday night. I think we’re going to call it SATURDAY NIGHT FIGHTS or something super cheesy like that.

In the show we discussed the tournament realm, 3.1’s impending changes, rogues from zyZ’s perspective, the rating changes to season six and as always plenty of drama about a fox, wolf and wings.

We were able to cover a lot of the questions that you’ve all been sending in so keep them coming!

On last week’s show (HERE) I stated in the first 10 minutes that we were looking for a graphic designer to see if our listeners were at all interested. Shortly after the episode was published I received multiple e-mails from people. I didn’t expect this. Some of you I replied to and spoke with, some of you I didn’t, and I felt bad for not responding. So I came up this contest. It is a chance for me to see everyone’s work without being hounded for specifics (because I hate giving direction when it comes to art). Now the contest.

Have graphic design skills? Ever designed a t-shirt graphic before? Artsy in any way? Here’s a chance to show your work off to a large audience. We’re asking our listeners to design a t-shirt for ArenaCast. If we pick yours, your design will be seen everywhere on our website (as it will most likely become our official logo) and once LAN events start occurring more often, we’ll sport your design there on a hoodie or t-shirt for everyone to see. Also, there’s a chance we might bring you on as our graphic designer.

Design Criteria

• ArenaCast must be somewhere on the design, easy to see and easy to read
• Design can be anything, as long as it is appropriate to wear in public. No racism, cursing, or explicit images – something you would feel comfortable wearing.
• Our motto, “The Home of WoW E-Sports”, can be included but is not necessary
• E-mail submissions to jp@arenacast.net with the subject “T-Shirt Contest” with contact information if you do not check your e-mail very often.
• All submissions must be .jpg format. Resolution is your choice, but chances are if you win I’ll probably ask for a higher resolution image.

Other then these rules, anything goes. Impress us. Think of it as something you’d include in your portfolio.

The deadline for submissions is April 1, 2009. Once all submissions have been collected, I will make a post with all of the designs for the public to see. We will choose the winner a week later and announce it on the show.

Instead of just posting pictures of each of us I figured I’d bring back this video from BlizzCon. The first ever video (and hopefully not last, coming soon! -maybe-) of us. Igoaf, oplaid, myself (JP), and Vhell are all on the video. I find it funny that we’ve come full circle with the Koreans doing so poorly at BlizzCon and then winning ESL Finals. This was back when WLD was king, and RMP was on the rise (pre 3.0). See below!
