We’re going to be recording (yes, recording, again) this Saturday around 6 CST. We’re recording again because my laptop battery died and because Dell is such a piece of shit I can’t go buy a 130w battery here in town and have to order one… I digress. We’ll start doing live shows again whenever I get the battery (probably the next week).

So, Kintt, Igoaf, Serennia, and possibly some other WoW players (I might join in, we’ll see) on Arenacast this week. Expect show to be up around 7:30 p.m. CST or 8. Till then, have fun slaying dragons.

We have a second Saturday Night Fight lined up just not sure when we’ll be able to do it. I’ll try to keep posts up but this week will be busy for me (JP) so if I fail to get one up that’s why. Thanks!

Don’t be alarmed, the podcast isn’t up yet (and won’t be up till about 10ish Wednesday night). I just wanted to inform everyone that usually listens to the show live that this week we’re going to try going back to recording the show, kicking it old school. This will allow for more edits, more segments (without downtime) and technical errors should be lowered a lot as well.

We’re going to try to improve the show a lot in the upcoming weeks so just be prepared for some cool, new segments, as well as some awful segments which we will never go back to ever again. I’m not going to spoil much for tomorrow’s episode however so you’ll just have to wait for it tomorrow night.

I can however tell you who’s going to be on the show: Forteh and Roguemonkey. If you would like to ask questions to either of these two gentleman send them to questions@arenacast.net. Also any other questions you have for the cast feel free to send them there.

I also took some time to discuss all of these grandiose plans that I had for ArenaCast are now being scrapped and we’re looking to do nothing but make the podcast better. It appears a lot of things are far from complete, but if this is a sign of things to come arena may become even more skewed than before. What if Blizzard has decided to take a more intense approach to the damage in arena issue?

The above link shows that Blizzard may be toying around with the idea of reducing damage in arena through an aura effect instead of taking it to a class by class basis. This is pure speculation, but do you think this is a necessary step?

World of Warcraft began as a PvE game and will always keep it as a core element. Is it possible to balance this game with an avenue in e-sports in sight? Some sort of game changing rule set upon entering an arena may be the only way to truly balance it in the end, but it is up to Blizzard to make that decision and only time will tell which will always be captivated in the simple word of soon.

I’m having issues with my hunter being copied over, but I will post a few quick notes about the class before the show if able. Look for this week’s show to have plenty of talk about the new things to come in the wonderful World of Warcraft arena scene.

3. constant bickering on game mechanics, overpowered arcane mages, rogues, and ret paladins.
4. retelling of stories to people who will listen about events occurring in ranked matches
5. nagging of professional WoW players on how to beat certain comps

Last night we played 3s and 5s. As with every other time we try to play, some team from past seasons begins to start queuing. Last night in particular a team who earned Brutal Gladiator in 5s decided to play 3s running the Survival Hunter / Mage / Shaman comp. I’ve never really played against the composition and from last nights experiences, I hope I don’t ever have to again. But enough bitching… wait, what am I saying, thats all this article is about.

Raiding once a night every week was fun at first. Now every Friday (yeah, Friday, I don’t go out much, easy food for the trolls) I lead the alt raid for Void, my guild on Mugthol. Running these raids has become something I dread and several constants that raid with us each week are beginning to drop one-by-one. PvE is once again boring and I’ve been fairly resistant to this, many other raiding guilds fell victim to being bored after the second week.

The ESL Finals cannot come fast enough. WoW needs something to rejuvenate this stagnant feel to it at the moment. Patch 3.1 changes posting now on MMO-Champion are great for discussion, but you can only talk so much. We need a tournament to watch. And after that, well, we have to wait until June it looks like for MLG. Another dry spell. Oh dear.

I’ve got to go back to actually working now on the school newspaper (OMGNERD). Hopefully I can find a cure for these blues because as it stands now, I don’t want to log in for a while. Anyone else feel like they have a case of the blues?
