Death Knights have been a hot topic for quite some time now. People are looking to 3.1 to balance out some of the dumb shit currently in the game. This is PTR and it is the time to get things changed but holy hell these numbers seem to be a little over the top.

It appears a lot of things are far from complete, but if this is a sign of things to come arena may become even more skewed than before. What if Blizzard has decided to take a more intense approach to the damage in arena issue?

The above link shows that Blizzard may be toying around with the idea of reducing damage in arena through an aura effect instead of taking it to a class by class basis. This is pure speculation, but do you think this is a necessary step?
World of Warcraft began as a PvE game and will always keep it as a core element. Is it possible to balance this game with an avenue in e-sports in sight? Some sort of game changing rule set upon entering an arena may be the only way to truly balance it in the end, but it is up to Blizzard to make that decision and only time will tell which will always be captivated in the simple word of soon.
I’m having issues with my hunter being copied over, but I will post a few quick notes about the class before the show if able. Look for this week’s show to have plenty of talk about the new things to come in the wonderful World of Warcraft arena scene.

please give us a damage modifier aura for arenas. obviously make it less in 2s, more in 3s and more in 5s.
if this isn’t their intention then things look pretty awful, as the patch notes indicate they have 0 intention of toning burst damage down at a class level
I think arena’s are mostly fine, tbh. Sure it’s bursty in the low brackets, but wasn’t that Blizzard’s goal? People complained all the time when they couldn’t kill people in the 1500’s, they got what they wanted. If you got a damage boost to help you get kills, obviously the other team did too, thus you will die faster.
In high-rated games, it’s completely different. There are all kinds of teams, and I think that’s GREAT. Cleave teams can still train people down (which sucks when it happens against you), but generally they still work together to chain stuff like HoJ, Strangulate, Mind Freeze, Repentance, etc….
But there’s also Hunter/DK/Healer teams, Rogue/Mage/Healer teams, Hunter/Double Healer teams, DK/Rogue/Healer teams, Hunter/Ret/Healer, Hunter/Lock/Healer, etc etc. Pallies work in any healer slot (which is perhaps a little too good), but Shamans also work in those slots, sometimes even better. Priests work in a select few slots really well, but they’re getting buffed significantly. Druids *kinda* work, they will work a lot better with no Plague Strike removing HoTs and such. So all the healers are at least competitive with gear and at least 1 or a few comps.
Overall there are still some underpowered specs, but no completely underpowered classes. Enh Shams, Ele Shams, SPriests, Holy Priests, Fire Mages, Destro Locks, Combat Rogues (Subtlety too?), Moonkins, BM Hunters (Marks too?), Prot Warrior/Pally, and to an extent Arms Warriors are the specs I see as doing extremely poorly in high rated arenas. But all of those specs can respec for PVP. Blizzard wants to make every class work in PVP (which I think is a bit impossible), so just wait it out if you’re a diehard fan of one of those specs. Anyone who specs into their best PVP tree will do fine with any class, given the right gear.
They’d probably have to reduce healing done through the aura as well. Healing can keep up with the damage in general, non-plate dps and all healers just need the stam to cover it.
