ArenaCast 9/12 — Kintt’s Final Show

September 11th, 2009

UPDATE: Igoaf still doesn’t have internet. Kintt most likely dodged the show dedicated to him like a douche. Taking stream down. Show canceled.

Today on the show we celebrate the life of Nathan ‘Kintt’ Quinn, one of WoW eSports most well known names. Join us to say goodbye to the Wing King tomorrow at 4 p.m. CST.

Ustream will be posted below with a downloading of the show afterward. See you then.

Orangemarmalade Show Announcement

September 9th, 2009

Here in America, the Korean World of Warcraft scene is something we, or even our friends across the pond, know little about. In a couple of weeks, we’re going to try to change this.

While working at Major League Gaming Dallas this past month, Button Bashers Mage Orangemarmalade made friends with a lot of the WoW players and commentators. Since the tournament, myself and a lot of players have been talking with him online because his English is actually quite good. This got me to thinking about bringing him on ArenaCast in the future, but I didn’t want to make it like every other episode — it had to be different.

For this special episode, I’m trying to get as many communities involved. If you have any questions for Orange yourself you can send them to questionsfororange AT gmail DOT com. These questions will be asked (as long as they are appropriate) to Orange himself and we will try our hardest to ask every question submitted (as long as they are appropriate).

The deadline for question submission is Saturday, September 26th. Thanks for all those who submit a question. We are all looking forward to this very special episode.

ArenaC.. No, not really… SFCast?

August 17th, 2009

Not really sure what to call this but here’s the apartment that I’m currently at in SF (It’s 720p so thats why its 250mb). It isn’t really Arena related so if you’re looking for that then come back to this site later this week for some special videos.

The apartment belongs to Bill / Ctide (You might remember these names from ArenaRecaps awhile back) and Tivoli, the creator of NurfedUI.

Probably should of uploaded it to FileFront. If anyone with decent upload wants to (I’m on random wireless here, took forever to upload that) then feel free, link it in the comments, and I’ll throw up the link.

Couple more days till BlizzCon, hooray! More videos later this week.

ArenaCast Live 8/15 — Maybe? Maybe Not?

August 15th, 2009

Due to Keith working and me being in San Francisco staying at Bill and Ctide’s apartment (#arenacast, irc.gamesurge.net), we definitely wont have a live show today.

I might try to do a video show of sorts but not sure when or if I’ll get that recorded. I’ll update though if something changes throughout the day.

Anyways, BlizzCon this week! Ahhh! Can’t wait till the event starts on Thursday night.

Kintt and zyZ do something special

July 1st, 2009

Congrats to SK-Gaming, Team America

June 28th, 2009

First off congratulations to SK-Gaming for playing an outstanding tournament. They may have not had the toughest matches on their way to the Upper Finals but you can’t discredit them for beating Team EG and then pulling off a 3-1 to TSG in the Grand Finals. Note that the first map was RNG Valor and SK managed to even beat TSG on that.

Dr. Realz has really turned things around with this new line-up after dropping Serennia. His first trip to Germany will quickly be forgotten and replaced with memories of this one. No more staying in strange German houses Mr. Masterson, you’re treated like WoW royalty now.

Many are already calling SK-Gaming ‘Team America’. I think that’s a fitting title. We’ll have Dr. Realz on a special “After Thoughts: Regionals” show sometime this week along with some of the other big names from this weekend. Look for an updated post on Monday or Tuesday.

I suppose we should give TSG some praise too for making it to BlizzCon in their first tournament appearance ever. This is how I give praise:

Zilea and his clowder.

GotFrag VOD’s being released

June 25th, 2009

Quick little update for the community.

The World of Warcraft VOD’s of MLG Columbus 2009 are beginning to come out. You can view them HERE.

Hopefully they cut out the whole “GOAL!” thing with Keith and Jared because that has to stop. Now.

So, yeah, just got g-lined

June 19th, 2009

If you’re wondering why you got g-lined today from GameSurge, it was probably because you were idling in #battlegroup9. Phaseburn (an IRC cop) g-lined the entire channel due to a couple of people trolling him (see: http://davidbauman.ytmnd.com/). So, I won’t be able to idle in #arenacast tomorrow but we will be doing a show at 4 p.m. and hopefully I can get people to idle there. If you can post here with a way for me to contact you so you can lead the troops tomorrow! Thanks.
