ArenaCast Live – 3/11 Edition – ESL Aftermath, WTF America?

Tonight’s show was… well, it was filled with drama. Usually I tend to try and make our shows not about drama, but alas I could not keep the fox contained, especially with Happyminti calling him forth. So there’s that.
There is also some great talk about the ESL tournament, Patch 3.1, and of course user questions! Yay! That reminds me: all questions can be sent to questions@arenacast.net and we will get them next week. So thanks for listening, lets go for a record download again. Share this to all your friends, etc.
Sorry for the late upload, technical (idiocy) problems delayed it. See you all next week.
Temporary Alt Download Link, only up for a little bit: HERE

Last show you guys talked alot of shit about the EU teams and hyped up the US ones. Hope there’s gonna be no stupid excuses about why the US teams failed.
when? time would be nice
US teams lost for 3 reasons.
1: The EU/Korean teams were generally just as good as them or better.
2: SK US lost b/c of lack of practice and general fact that the team hates each other with passion. They won’t be together much longer as far as I can guess. Serennia has an uncanny ability to destroy his teams.
3. CoL had a bad day and tried to run with a Druid b/c we were not very confident with other comps we had practiced. Unfortunately Druids are utterly countered by every team with a DK…which was…everyone save the Koreans who outplayed us and rightfully won the tournament. Out of desperation we tried PMR (which we hadn’t practiced at all b/c we honestly thought it wouldn’t be very good at the tournament) and failed simply out of having played literally ZERO games against a DK H Pally as PMR. Meanwhile SK Usa learned from their previous game and played much better, and also respecced into 60% dispell resist so we couldn’t get rid of bop, bubble or freedom well at all.
4. Team E.G. went 2-3 against SK korea once they figured out how to play against good RMP teams (which was them as destro). Destro worked superior for them over affliction, and Kollective was called the best shaman the koreans had every played against. So EG while they were eliminated before relegation showed a lot of promise.
Well, anyways, I’m in Amsterdam right now so I better jet. Lates ladies.

Not sure if you guys read this during the cast but in Amsterdam it’s quarter past 2 in the morning. Doubt Minti will come back ;)
Have to agree with Noggy… Hope u admit EU > US :D
KR > EU > US
I think the problem with the US is all the elite players play with other elite players, rather than people they mix well with and can have excellent communication/teamwork with.
Not that US players can’t be both at the same time, but I think we’re going for the “All-Star” approach rather than the “good team” approach that you see with the EU and Koreans. We do @ Basketball in the Olympics too, and we’ve lost that a few times (not all the time, there’s hope yet for US teams? :P).
hahaha this was a super entertaining arenacast!
Trash talking SELLS BABY! hahah
ehh link is down
any chance we get a fresh link?
Why do you even listen to Serennia? He’s a snake.
Please find someone who doesn’t blame others.
Someone who can play and win as a team is worth hearing.
The regular link is fine, it’s just the alt link.
I’d like to see more discussion of what happened in the different rounds of the tournament TBH. Especially concerning the teams that did well, not just the SK.US games.
Any chance of getting a download link of your ESL commentating stream?
